Hey there Marvel fans, have you heard the news? The iconic anti-hero known as The Punisher is making his big return to the Marvel universe! According to recent reports, Jon Bernthal will be reprising his role as Frank Castle in the upcoming Daredevil: Born Again series on Disney+.
But wait, there’s more! The new Daredevil show will also feature the return of fan favorites Charlie Cox as the Devil of Hell’s Kitchen and Vincent D’Onofrio as the villainous Wilson Fisk, also known as Kingpin. It’s great to see these familiar faces back in action, and we can’t wait to see what kind of trouble they’ll get into this time around.
Unfortunately, not all of our favorite characters will be returning. Deborah Ann Woll and Alden Henson, who played Karen Page and Foggy Nelson, respectively, are not expected to be a part of the new series. But hey, things can always change behind the scenes, so let’s keep our fingers crossed for a surprise appearance!
One thing that’s interesting about Daredevil: Born Again is that it’s taking a more standalone approach, separate from the larger Marvel Cinematic Universe. According to Marvel Studios boss Kevin Feige, the expanded episode order for the show is allowing them to experiment with the story and structure of the series.
But let’s be real, we’re all just excited to see more of Charlie Cox’s charming and witty portrayal of Matt Murdock, aka Daredevil. And let’s not forget about Vincent D’Onofrio’s terrifying and complex take on the villainous Kingpin. These two actors are sure to bring their A-game once again, and we can’t wait to see what they’ll do with their characters this time around.
Joining the cast are a few newcomers, including Michael Gandolfini, Margarita Levieva, Sandrine Holt, and Nikki James from The Book of Mormon. It’ll be interesting to see how they fit into the story and what kind of roles they’ll be playing.
All in all, Daredevil: Born Again is shaping up to be a thrilling and action-packed addition to the Marvel universe. With the return of fan favorites and a standalone approach, this series is sure to be a hit with fans of the comics and the Netflix series alike. So get ready to don your red suit and take to the rooftops, because Daredevil is back!
