Marvel Studios has released a new trailer for its upcoming series, Secret Invasion, which aired during ESPN’s Sunday Night Baseball. The show features renowned actor Samuel L. Jackson reprising his role as Nick Fury and is scheduled to premiere on Disney+ on June 21. The preview video is available above for your viewing pleasure.
Secret Invasion is set in the current Marvel Cinematic Universe and follows Fury as he discovers a covert invasion of Earth by a group of Skrulls, who can shape-shift into anyone. Fury teams up with his allies, including Everett Ross, Maria Hill, and Skrull Talos, who has established a life on Earth. Together, they race against time to thwart an imminent Skrull attack and save humanity.
The series boasts an impressive cast, with Ben Mendelsohn, Cobie Smulders, Martin Freeman, Kingsley Ben-Adir, Charlayne Woodard, Killian Scott, Samuel Adewunmi, Dermot Mulroney, Christopher McDonald, Katie Finneran, Emilia Clarke, Olivia Colman, and Don Cheadle joining Jackson.
Ali Selim is directing and executive-producing the show, alongside Kevin Feige, Jonathan Schwartz, Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso, Brad Winderbaum, Samuel L. Jackson, Kyle Bradstreet, and Brian Tucker. Kyle Bradstreet is also the head writer, with Jennifer L. Booth, Allana Williams, and Brant Englestein serving as co-executive producers.
