Have you ever been ghosted? You know, when someone just suddenly disappears from your life without any explanation or warning. Well, the new Apple TV+ show “Ghosted” takes that feeling to the extreme.
The official trailer opens with a guy nervously texting a girl named Sadie, asking her out for coffee. Now, I don’t know about you, but if a guy asked me out via text, my response would be “New phone, who dis?” But Sadie seems interested, and they plan to meet up.
Cut to Cole, the guy who asked Sadie out, telling his friend about her. He’s convinced that she’s “the one.” But then, the bomb drops – Sadie ghosted him.
Now, normally, when someone ghosts you, you take the hint and move on with your life. But not Cole. He decides to go all-in and fly to London to surprise her. That’s right, he’s going to cross the pond for a girl he’s only met once.
His friend tries to talk some sense into him, but Cole won’t be deterred. He even sings “I Would Walk 500 Miles” to show how committed he is.
Now, here’s where things start to get crazy. Cole ends up in the wrong place at the wrong time and gets kidnapped by the CIA, who thinks he’s a tax man. I mean, how does that even happen? And apparently, Sadie is somehow involved in all of this.
So, let me get this straight. Cole flies to London to surprise a girl who ghosted him, gets kidnapped by the CIA, and finds out that Sadie is part of some international conspiracy. And yet, he’s still convinced that it’s all worth it because it was a “romantic gesture.”
I don’t know about you, but if I were in Cole’s shoes, I would have turned around and gone home the minute I realized I was in the wrong place. But hey, maybe that’s just me.
The trailer ends with some intense action scenes, and we’re left wondering if Cole and Sadie will survive. But the real question is, why would anyone go through all of that for someone they barely know?
In my opinion, “Ghosted” looks like a wild ride full of twists and turns. But it also raises some serious questions about the lengths people will go to for love. And personally, I don’t think risking your life for someone who ghosted you is worth it. But hey, that’s just me.
